Delivering on time

Benefit: Work with a company that does whatever it takes to deliver on time.

Client: One of the leading European office furniture manufacturers

One of our long term clients had a very tight deadline to launch a new product at Neocon in Chicago in June.

We received the final drawings for five aluminium die-cast components on April 6.

The parts had to be sent to Europe to be incorporated into the final product, and then photographed, followed by shipment to the United States.

Together with our engineer, the client visited our facilities to sign off first samples from the tools on May 11.

As there was insufficient time to courier the product required for the exhibition, we purchased 10 pcs of luggage so that the client could hand carry 146kg of product on the flight back.

At short notice, it was decided our engineer should follow 2 days later to fly to the UK and he carried an additional 40kg of urgently required samples.

Below is a letter from the managing director of the company:

I would like to thank yourself and your teams for all the effort that has gone into making sure the castings were tooled and received in time.

I know you really worked hard to get this achieved.

Once again, many thanks for your continued support.

Extensive supply network

Benefit: Our extensive supply network

Client: European company specialising in the high end contract market.

  • This was a client Interested to have a chrome steel frame chair made in Asia with bent ply seat and back in Oak.
  • We researched and proposed 5 possible supply partners we knew in 3 different countries.
  • We planned and organised for the client to visit all the potential supply partners with us, so we could jointly decide the best supply solution.
  • We were able to confirm the project and have now successfully developed the tooling and commenced mass production.

Engineering solution

Benefit: We have engineering skills to help develop your design

Client: Montis

  • The Tor table designer had the concept and working drawings but the way to make it had not been finalised.
  • We made an initial 10 prototype samples for Montis to show at a European exhibition.
  • There was an overwhelming response to the design so Montis decided to put this into production.
  • We were able to work out a good method of production which allowed it to be supplied knock down with easy assembly.
