One of the great advantages you have when asking True North to manufacture your product or component is our large database of reliable supply partners located in 5 Asian countries.

The procedure if you want us to quote a product or component is as follows:

Send us drawings or a sample with full specifications required.

We will provide a quotation together with any changes from your specification to conform to our production capabilities.

We can normally provide indicative pricing with      drawings but there are occasions when a component is very complicated that we need to see a sample.

Our pricing can be quoted in 3 ways

FOB (client arranges their own freight)

CIF (Inclusive of delivery to a main shipping port

DDU (inclusive delivery to your factory but excluding applicable Vat or Import duties

Before producing tooling, you will have confirmed the pricing is workable and maybe approved a prototype and/or samples of the material, finishing etc.

Any tooling required is normally manufactured in Asia for 3 reasons
We do not need to check whether your tool can be accommodated by the machines
There is a restriction that tools must be new when imported into China.
There will be substantial cost savings and the factory will be responsible for rectifying any problems with the initial tool development.

The tooling cost is paid up front by the client and may be deducted if the component being produced is subsequently sold by True North and/or the factory to third countries.
When tooling has been paid by the client, it remains your property and the manufacturer and or True North will not use it except to produce your orders.

An approval sample is provided free of charge up to a value of USD 75 on a freight collect basis.  The cost of airfreight is borne by the client and will be deducted from the first order received or in the event that the sample received does not meet the original specifications discussed.
